Air New Zealand Safety Tips

BLOG TASK: Share a post with your top three safety tips for flying. Also share where you got these tips from and which safety video is your favourite! I don't think we really had our safety messages come through strongly, but I am happy with what we accomplished in the time given as not many of our class finished. I hope you enjoy.

Plastic Pollution

I think that plastic should banned because it's a bad environment for our planet it

could fill up our landfills and get worse and worse So we need to fix this problem by making
factories to crush them up And melt  it and clean it to be turned into new plastic,

So that's why I think that we should Empty our landfills and take the landfills to the factories
to be turned into new plastics that's why we should have a better world

So let's fix this to become a better planet for this environment So the sea life can have a
better life without all the plastic and the Pacific Ocean patch doesn't heart our marine life.

Secondly

The reason why I think that plastic should be banned it is because the animal could eat a
micro plastic and another animal can eat that animal and we could end up eating the animal
that ate the other animal  so that's why I think that plastic should be band.

 thirdly

humans can get sick from eating the fish that have micro beads in it,

They could get sick pretty bad from this plastic So that's why she go to this big Pacific

patch Then get all those plastic out of there so I marine life can have a better life  and get the
plastic out of all the garbage patch things.

Lastly

Is a place to takes 500 To 300 years to  breakdown So that's why We should ban plastic

so we can stop this environment right now.

I’m late!! I have Kapa Haka today!! I ran to my mum’s room, “Mum are we staying home today?” “Mmhmm” she mumbled and carried on sleeping. So I shuffled back to my room and glumly went back to my bed with the laptop.

Around the World - Statistics

We are learning how to use Google Earth to fly to different world cities and find out their population.  We are collating our data on Google Sheets and learning how to insert our data into a table. We are learning how to add titles to our tables and to the horizontal and vertical axis.

cross country

On a hot tragic day we had cross country me and my year group lined up to race whaea rosina said ON YOUR MARKS GET SET GO!!!!!!! I was jogging and my knees was so sore I felt like dying but I never that's the good news the teachers were like RUN RUN RUN!!!! The funny part was that I stopped running. When I got around the corner then my legs started to boost off after Janell but than she beat me.

Today we used google forms to create a survey as part of our statistics unit.  Together we asked questions and sent the link to our class.  This is what I found out.

My Holidays

In the holidays, I stayed home and played Fortnite. I know right? boringgggg! But it’s a pretty
cool game.

There is a battle pass where you can get cool skins and emotes. Emotes means dances. There is
also challenges you can do when you want to level up.
There's also an item shop, so if you want to buy skins or emotes,
while playing the game, you can. You can get an insane amount of kills if you go into Tilted Towers.
if you dont know what that is, it's like a little city that a lot of people go to, well nearly everyone who
plays Fortnite.
Oh and there is a storm if you go into it, it will take off hp (health). If you don't have enough hp you

could die and go back to the lobby. The storm gets smaller and smaller and the more smaller it goes
the more hp it will take from you. If there's two more players left that means it’s a 1v1
BUT if you win you get a Victory Royale. Which means you win out of like 100 other people.

Creating animations

Today we have been using Stop Motion Animation on our chromebook to learn about animation.  I worked with Sonny and Hineira to create this animation.  My person is called James and he gets crushed by a wrecking ball.  To make the wrecking ball we rolled a ball and then wrapped it around a plug.  Then we could hang it by the cord.  We had to try hard not to get our hands in the shots.

SPEECHES NO!

Today my whole classroom stood up to say there speeches. Everyone was nervous at the time. We had to stand up in the front of our classroom, and say our speeches. When I stood up I felt like I was amazing! I felt so good when i said my speech. I know that I wasn't going to be nervous. 

Nothing was challenging for me. It was alright when I said my speech. I also agree with myself about banning smoking. I think that I done really good. I finished on time when I said my speech. I felt happy when I got my results back from the teacher. I got 34/100 in my speech. So overall I think I done really well. Hope you enjoy. :)

ki-o-rahi

     On Friday 23rd March 2018, I went to lindvart park to play Ki-O-Rahi.
 In my team was Maui,sonny boy, Jahnelle, Iverson, Jontae, Tristan, Piripi, John and Huri-Leigh,

My first game was amazing but we lost.
I really liked playing that game because it was my first real game.
I could hear heaps of people on the sidelines cheering for everyone and I could see heaps of people
watching us play. We won 2 games and we lost 3 games that day.

I was kind of tired because the day was long.
I enjoyed all of our games because my team was fun to play with.
